Norway’s Cokstile upsets in $1 million International Trot
Norway's Cokstile wins the $1 million MGM Yonkers International Trot at MGM Raceway. Denmark's Ecurie D and trainer-driver Ake Svanstedt had a six-length lead on the field. Cocstiles and Vincenzo Dell'Annuziata made a three-wide move approaching the final turn and pulled away to win by four lengths in 2:23. Back Of The Neck was second and It's Academic was third.
When Dovescry (Muscle Hill) and David Miller went out to the lead and never looked back in the $250,000 MGM Robert Mecuna Invitational Trot. Hillexotic (Yannick Gingras) came after them but they couldn't catch the mare. Amigo Volo (Todd McCarthy) was third. Cokstile has 28 wins in 77 starts and surpassed the$2 million mark in earnings.
When Dovescry won the race. It was the third win this year for the horse trained by Brett Pelling for owner John Lengacher of Grabill, IN.
