Upsets and more in $560,000 Matron Stakes

Warrawee Xenia won the $135,300 harness racing division of the Matron Stakes at Bally’s Dover Downs. Venerable finished second and Raised By Lindy third in the 6th race for three-year-old trotting fillies. Joviality S faded in fifth place.

Double Deceiver won the Matron Stakes with a purse of $143,950. Warrawee Xenia won for the ninth time this year. King Of The North won his fourth straight race. Keg Stand came second. The winner paid $18.00. It was the three-wide battle for early lead between Double De receiver, Fast As The Wind and King of The Northern.
