Nuggets vs. Clippers prediction and odds for Monday, Nov. 27 (Back Los Angeles)

Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets will look to win the season series over Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday night. The Nuggets are noticeable road underdogs tonight as they are 3-6 away from Ball Arena this season.

Los Angeles has won four out of its last five games, which includes a 107-88 home win against the Mavericks. The Clippers lost by three points to the Nuggets on Nov. 14, but it appears LA is figuring out how to play with James Harden.

Here are the odds and our best bet for Denver-Los Angeles:

Denver Nuggets injury report

Los Angeles Clippers injury report

Denver Nuggets

Nikola Jokic: Jokic could win his third MVP in the last four seasons with the way he’s playing this season. The two-time league MVP is almost averaging a triple-double with 28.8 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 8.9 assists per game. When these two teams played each other two weeks ago, Jokic had 32 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists. The star center has recorded eight 30-point games this month.

Los Angeles Clippers

Paul George: George is coming off a solid performance against the Mavericks over the weekend. The star forward posted 25 points (9-19 FG, 2-5 3pt), nine rebounds, and four assists.

George is averaging 25.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game this season. In the Clippers’ three-point loss to the Nuggets, the veteran wing had a team-high 35 points on 13-of-26 shooting from the field and 4-of-11 from beyond the arc.

The line for tonight’s game tells us that the Nuggets could be missing a couple of key players due to injury. If that’s the case, Denver will need a triple-double for Jokic, plus more help from other players in the starting lineup and off the bench.

Tonight’s game would be the first time that the Nuggets are the underdog on the spread. It also doesn’t help that Denver is 1-8 against the spread on the road this season. As for the Clippers, they are playing better basketball since last playing the Nuggets. Los Angeles is 4-1 in its last five games, with wins over San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas.

The Clippers are scoring 110.4 points and only allowing 101 points per game over that stretch of games. When Los Angeles is defending at a high level and playing complimentary basketball on offense, they are tough to beat.

The Clippers are 4-3 ATS as a home favorite, but only 2-4 ATS after a win. I’ll take Los Angeles to get the win and cover against a Denver team that has lost back-to-back road games to the Rockets and the Magic.
