Best NBA prop bets today for Nuggets vs. Lakers (Bet on Jamal Murray’s shooting)

The Denver Nuggets are favored on the road on Thursday night in a Western Conference Finals rematch with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Denver has struggled as a road favorite – going 6-13-1 against the spread this season – so I'm looking to the prop market to bet on Denver instead of wagering on the team to win and cover the spread.

Let’s break down props for Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic and more on Thursday:

Jamal Murray OVER 2.5 3-pointers made

Murray is shooting 40.6 percent from beyond the arc this season, hitting at least three shots from deep in six of his last nine matchups.

I am worried a little about the volume with this prop – Murray is attempting just 5.9 3-pointers per game this season – but he did hit three 3s in the season opener against Los Angeles.

The Lakers have struggled to defend beyond the arc this season, ranking 29th in opponent 3-pointers made and 21st in opponent 3-point percentage.

Austin Reaves OVER 14.5 points

If you’re going to bet on a Lakers player tonight, Austin Reaves is the guy.

The Lakers shooting guard has scored 22 or more points in three of his last four games, pushing his season average to 15.5 points per game.

Reaves dropped 14 on 11 shots in the season opener, falling just short of this prop, but he’s cleared 14.5 points in eight of his last 13 games, averaging 16.9 points per game over that stretch.

If the Lakers do make a deadline deal, Reaves is unlikely to be involved, so he could see an expanded role on Thursday if the team is shorthanded.

Nikola Jokic to record a triple-double

It’s going to be hard to find a better value on the board tonight than for Nikola Jokic to record a triple-double at +185 odds.

Jokic has 15 triple-doubles on the season, including a 29-point, 13-rebound, 11-assist showing against the Lakers in the season opener.

If this game stays close and Jokic has to play his usual minutes, the Nuggets center should pick up big numbers against a Los Angeles team that is 19th in opponent rebounds per game and 20th in opponent assists per game.

Jokic is nearly averaging a triple-double on the season, and he’s picked one up in three of his last six games.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
