COPENHAGEN, DENMARK (AP) - Results from Danish football:

Danish rider Jonas Vingegaard has won the Tour de France for a second straight year as cycling’s most storied race finished on the famed Champs-Élysées. With a huge lead built up over main rival Tadej Pogačar, Vingegaard knew the victory was effectively already his again ahead of the largely ceremonial stage Sunday at the end of the 110th edition of the Tour. Vingegaard drank champagne with his Jumbo-Visma teammates as they lined up together and posed for photos on the way to Paris. It has been a three-week slog over 3,405 kilometers (2,116 miles) with eight mountain stages across five mountain ranges. Vingegaard seized control of the race over two stages in the Alps.

Brian Harman is a major champion and it was never in doubt. The 36-year-old American captured the British Open at Royal Liverpool. He started the day with a five-shot lead and no one ever got closer than three on a rainy Sunday in England. Harman led the final 51 holes of this British Open. The one time it got tight on the front nine he made consecutive birdies. The rest of the day was a soggy walk on the links. Harman won for only the third time in his career. He had gone 167 tournaments since his last PGA Tour title.

New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge faced live pitching on Sunday for the first time since tearing a ligament in his right toe on June 3. In a simulated game against Jonathan Loáisiga, who is rehabbing from right elbow surgery, Judge saw 16 pitches. He did not put any balls in play but fouled off four pitches, including one to the upper deck behind home plate. The Yankees began Sunday 17-22 since Judge crashed into the right-field wall at Dodger Stadium while making a catch on a drive by J.D. Martinez.

American Brian Harman wins the British Open by six strokes for his first major title.

Formula One champion Max Verstappen needs only a few seconds to stamp his authority on the Hungarian Grand Prix and win his seventh straight race of a crushingly dominant season. Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton started from pole position ahead of Verstappen, who muscled him out at the first corner and never looked back. Red Bull’s 12th straight win included the final race of 2022 and broke McLaren’s record for consecutive wins set in 1988. Verstappen is cruising toward a third straight F1 title. His ninth victory this season means he already leads Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez by 110 points. McLaren's Lando Norris finished second and Perez was third. Hamilton finished fourth for Mercedes.

Newcastle has signed winger Harvey Barnes from relegated Leicester in a deal that could be worth a reported 38 million pounds ($49 million). Barnes has signed a five-year deal with Saudi-controlled Newcastle, which will play in the Champions League this season. Everton signed Netherlands forward Arnaut Danjuma on a season-long loan from Villarreal. The 26-year-old Danjuma spent the second half of last season at Tottenham, which beat Everton to his signature to the move in January.

Neighborhoods in northeast Paris have struggled for years with the scourge of crack cocaine and its use in public. The Summer Olympics kicking off a year from Wednesday are offering an impetus to tackle the problem. Yet despite a surge in arrests and new promises of tougher security around the 2024 Paris Games, some residents question whether the newfound focus is just pushing users elsewhere instead of treating deeper ills at the root of the crack crisis. Residents in the 18th and 19th arrondissements, or districts, of the French capital have long complained about the open-air crack use in their neighborhoods that stands in sharp contrast to the postcard-perfect tourist areas of Paris farther south.

Australian Ariarne Titmus has set a new world record on the way to a decisive victory in the women’s 400-meter freestyle on the opening day of the world swimming championships, with silver for American Katie Ledecky and bronze for Erika Fairweather of New Zealand. Sixteen-year-old Summer McIntosh of Canada, the world-record holder in the event, finished fourth. The race by the three superstar women overshadowed the world-record performance of rising French star Leon Marchand. Marchand won the 400 IM in 4:02.50 breaking the previous mark of 4:03.84 set by American Michael Phelps in 2008.

Pedro Cachin beat Albert Ramos-Vinolas 3-6, 6-0, 7-5 in the Swiss Open final Sunday to win his first tour-level title. Cachin then shared victory kisses courtside with his pet dog. A tearful Cachin first shared a courtside hug with his partner, then smooches with their French bulldog who also was at the match sitting in the family section. Cachin had his service broken to lose the first set then reeled off eight straight games during which the 35-year-old Ramos-Vinolas sought treatment for his bandaged left foot. The victory will lift 90th-ranked Cachin toward his career-best ranking of No. 54.

Rain has prevented play from starting on time on the last day of the fourth Ashes cricket test between England and Australia. The weather forecast is bleak and it is possible that play will be washed out for the rest of the day. Only 30 overs were possible on Saturday, with plenty more rain forecast on what could be a frustrating final day at Old Trafford. Australia are more than happy to settle for a draw that would see them retain their 2-1 lead and the urn, meaning England will be forced to make the most of whatever windows of play are possible.

Jamaica produced one of the biggest surprises of the Women’s World Cup so far by holding France to a 0-0 draw. France’s Kadidiatou Diani struck the bar with a 90th-minute header but one of the tournament favorites had to settle for a point. The draw saw Jamaica pick up its first ever point in the competition. That was despite Jamaica ending the game with 10 players after Khadija Shaw was sent off in time added on. Diani had France’s best chances to score a winner but could not find a breakthrough at the Sydney Football Stadium.

Ariarne Titmus of Australia has broken the world record in the women 400-meter freestyle in a star-studded race that featured three women who have held the mark. Titmus swam the distance in 3 minutes, 55.38 seconds to top the record set four months ago by Summer McIntosh of Canada of 3:56.08. The record fell on Sunday on the first day of eight in the pool at the World Aquatics Championships in Fukuoka in southwestern Japan. American Katie Ledecky finished second in 3:58.73 with bronze for Erika Fairweather of New Zealand in 3:59.59. Canadian McIntosh was fourth in 3:59.94

Alex Telles joined the slew of soccer stars heading to Saudi Arabia by completing a move from Manchester United to Al-Nassr. The Brazil international spent last season on loan at Sevilla and won the Europa League. He has been reunited with his former United teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. The 30-year-old Telles is the latest player to leave one of Europe’s top leagues for Saudi during this off-season. He follows the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Roberto Firmino. More are expected to head to the oil-rich country before the start of next season. Riyad Mahrez and Jordan Henderson have also linked with moves.

Brian Harman wants to make the right kind of history in the British Open. The American lefty takes a five-shot lead into the final round at Royal Liverpool. No one has lost a lead that large in the Open — or any major — since Jean Van de Velde at Carnoustie in 1999. The wind forecast was such the R&A already has adjusted two pin positions on the fifth and 13th holes. The pins are not as deep as originally planned. Also the tee on the par-3 17th has been moved up 8 yards to play at 132 yards.

Stefanie van der Gragt scored on a header in the 13th minute, leading Netherlands to a 1-0 win over Portugal at the Women’s World Cup as the 2019 finalists began their tournament run. The Dutch defender gathered herself as teammate Sherida Spitse lofted a corner kick her way, then headed the ball across the goal into the far side of the net. An offside review delayed the Dutch celebration. The win sets up the Netherlands for a rematch of the 2019 final against the United States. The U.S. won that final 2-0.
