OG Anunoby odds, props and best bet vs. Raptors: A +100 wager as Anunoby faces his old team

For the first time since their late-December trade, the Toronto Raptors face OG Anunoby and the New York Knicks.

The pregame narrative: Anunoby, who was drafted by the Raptors in 2017, acknowledged to reporters that "it'll be weird" to face his old team. But the reigning steals champ is off to a nice start in Manhattan and has an opportunity to show the Raptors what they're missing on Saturday night.

Check out our OG Anunoby odds, props and best bet for his first game against the Raptors on January 20.

NBA oddsas of 9:25 a.m. ET on 01/20/2024.

Best Anunoby prop bet

Best Bet: Anunoby 14+ points, 1+ steals (+100)

The Knicks have wasted no time getting Anunoby into the mix. In fact, you might say they're using him too much at this point.

Anunoby, who hadn't hit the 40-minute mark in any game with the Raptors this season, has played 42-plus minutes in three straight matchups for the Knicks — including both legs of a back-to-back.

It's difficult to make sense of that, but for prop bettors, the influx of action is a good thing. More minutes simply means more opportunities to put up numbers.

That hasn't panned out yet, though, as Anunoby is averaging 15.0 points with the Knicks (through 10 games) after averaging 15.1 points with the Raptors. And he's playing three minutes per night with New York.

The explanation there is that Anunoby is shooting less — but fortunately, he's scoring at a higher clip. The small forward's 51.9% FG rate with New York is currently the highest percentage of his career.

Toronto allows the fifth-most points per game to opposing SFs (22.9), per Fantasy Pros, so this matchup against his old squad looks like a good one.

To get to even money, I've added in one steal for Anunoby. He's averaged more than one steal per game in each of the past five seasons, and he has a steal in 26 of 37 games this year (70.3%).

Key stat: Anunoby has scored 15-plus points in four straight games for the Knicks.
