On This Day In NBA History: August 20
On August 20, 2020, the Minnesota Timberwolves won the NBA Draft Lottery and selected Anthony Edwards first overall. It was the first time in the franchise's history that they won a lottery and it was only the second time they have won it in their history. Minnesota made the playoffs this past season for the the only second year since the start of the 2004-05 season. Anthony has played two seasons in NBA and has averaged 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and shot 42.9% from the floor. He is the younger brother of former No. 2 overall pick Lonzo Ball.
