Pacers vs Hawks Prediction

The Indiana Pacers travel to the Chase Center to battle the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.

The Indiana Pacers have been in a rut as they’ve lost four of their last six games overall and they will be hoping to bounce back here after getting thrashed by the Celtics in a 120-95 road loss last night. Tyrese Haliburton led the team with 20 points, six rebounds and nine assists, Myles Turner added 20 points on nine of 13 shooting while Isaiah Jackson chipped in with 12 points off the bench. As a team, the Pacers shot 46 percent from the field and just four of 26 from the 3-point line as they kept pace with the Celtics in the first half, before they got completely blown out by 60-40 in the second half. Buddy Hield had a night to forget as he scored just eight points on two of nine shooting.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in a rut of their own as they’ve lost six of their last 10 games and they will be hoping to bounce back after coming up painfully short to the Timberwolves in a 125-124 road loss on Wednesday. Trae Young led the team with 29 points and eight assists, while John Collins, Saddiq Bey and DeAndre Hunter each scored 16 points. As a team, the Hawks shot 52 percent from the field and 12 of 26 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in control when they poured in 35 points in the third quarter to build an 11-point lead, but they couldn’t hold off the Timberwolves who closed the final 6:59 on a 24-13 run to steal the game from them in a heartbreaking finish.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pacers are 4-1 ATS in their last five road games and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games overall. The Hawks are 1-7 ATS in their last eight games playing on two days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last six Saturday games.

Head to head, the over is 5-0 in the last five meetings in Atlanta and the Over is 9-1 in the last 10 meetings overall.

The Pacers are shorthanded again as Chris Duarte is still out, while the Hawks are keeping eyes on De’Andre Hunter and Trae Young who are both listed as questionable for this one. The Pacers got blown out by the Celtics last night, despite hanging with them for most of the contest and I’m expecting a similar result in this one as they are playing their second game of a back to back set. The Hawks haven’t played since Wednesday and I think they take care of business here if Young is able to suit up.
