Patriot League tournament prediction, bracket, odds, schedule, and standings

The Colgate Raiders won the 2022 Patriot League tournament and represented the conference in March Madness a season ago. This year, they’re 17-1 in conference play, the No. 1 seed in the tournament and big favorites to go back to the big dance with a tournament championship.

Tucker Richardson is back to lead this team after his all-tournament team performance a season ago, but the other two leaders from last year’s group have moved on. With a different cast of characters, can Richardson and the Raiders break their dancing shoes out of the closet again?

The first round begins on Tuesday, February 28th with No. 10 Bucknell at No. 7 American and No. 9 Holy Cross at No. 8 Loyola Maryland. Both games are at 7 p.m. on ESPN+

The quarterfinals are on Thursday, March 2, and will also be televised on ESPN+. The first game will be No. 5 Boston at No. 4 Army at 6 p.m.

The semifinals will take place on Sunday, March 5th on CBS Sports Network at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Final will be Wednesday March 8th at 7:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Patriot League Tournament Prediction and Pick

The Raiders clearly have the easiest path to the championship game and they earned it with the No. 1 seed, but waiting there for them could be the No. 2 seeded Navy Midshipmen. In the final game of the regular season, these two squared off and Colgate took a 64-60 win on the road. They’re really the only team with a chance to knock off the defending champs that have a stranglehold on the conference though American was responsible for Colgate’s lone loss.

Colgate is eighth in offensive efficiency and is No. 1 in the country in three-point shooting, 40.7% and Navy held them to just 64 points and in a game where the Raiders shot 45.5% from three. I think there’s value with Navy at +270.
