Payton Pritchard career night wins NBA bettor $50,000

Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard was recently paid via a contract extension and is playing the best basketball of his career, helping another bettor reap the benefits.

One bettor on DraftKings targeted Pritchard’s overs wherever they could find them, with the four legs coming in over 7.5 assists, over 1.5 rebounds, over nine points + rebounds and finishing it off with Celtics -3.5.

The wild odds come in at 1,000/1 and are heavily correlated.

The $50 bet won $50,000, and his final stat line ended as the best of the season: 15 points, nine assists and four rebounds.

Boston went on to win the game in a rout, 155-104 to the Indiana Pacers, a team many thought would be among of the league’s most improved.

Betting Pritchard’s stats like this, where there is clear correlation involved, is typically a fool’s errand as it carries more vig with little incentive value.

This bettor had Pritchard over rebounds + points as one of the four legs on the parlay but also had over 1.5 rebounds as another leg.

Since the parlay does not break down the complete odds for the parlay, we have no idea how much this leg actually added to the parlay in terms of value, but it is fair to assume it provided little in terms of more money for the bettor.

Betting on the NBA?

In some cases, if the sportsbook allows you to add highly correlated odds to your parlay, this is best served by using a profit boost or bonus.

Those profit boosts are found at FanDuel and BetMGM
