Penn Mile Stakes returns with field of top turf horses: Betting odds, favorites, lineup
The $400,000 guaranteed Grade 2 Penn Mile Stakes is on Friday at Penn National Race Course. It's the signature race of the Grantville track celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Two of its likely favorites are from the barns of well-known trainers Todd Pletcher and Shug McGaughey. Annapolis, a Grade two winner at age 2, is the 9-to-5 morning-line favorite. Fort Washington is a 7- to-2 third choice. The colt is also a Kentucky-bred War Front colo with a win, two seconds and three third-place finishes in six lifetime starts.
