Elena Rybakina went on a short trip to Sardinia after exiting Wimbledon. On Saturday, world No 3 Rybakina offered a glimpse into her day at Porto Cervo. 10 days earlier, Rybakina suffered a Wimbledon quarterfinal defeat to Ons Jabeur.

Before kicking off her preparation for the North American hard court swing, Rybakina decided to take some time off."One day in Porto Cervo," Rybakina captioned her Instagram post.

Rybakina enjoyed some quality time in Sardinia

After what happened at Wimbledon, Rybakina seemingly needed some time off to recharge a bit.

At The Championships, Rybakina was among the top favorites to win the title but she exited Wimbledon after Jabeur came back from a set down to beat the Kazakh 6-7 (5) 6-4 6-1. After the loss, Rybakina was asked what Jabeur did better this time compared to their 2022 Wimbledon final meeting."Well, for sure she was making better decisions from the court than last year, I would say.

I also had a lot of opportunities this time, especially in the second set. I felt that my serve wasn't that great. I would say the percentage - I didn't see the statistics yet - but I think since it's my weapon and it was not working that well.

But definitely she was playing good today, especially in some important moments, so that made difference," Rybakina said. Also, Rybakina said being the defending champion at Wimbledon as a good learning experience.f"As I said from the beginning, it was kind of a new challenge for me coming as a defending champion.

It's of course different feeling. Actually really proud of the first few matches because it's not easy. I would say that every match I played was a little bit better than the other one. I think no matter the result of today, it was a positive few weeks for me here.

Yeah, I just need to work a little bit more now before the US swing. I will take a lot of positive from these two weeks," Rybakina said after exiting Wimbledon," Rybakina said.
