Fighting out of Panama, Piera Rodriguez (8-0) will be looking to keep her excellent run of form going. Desperate to maintain her unbeaten run, Rodriguez is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Kay Hansen back in April of this year. Heading into this weekend’s showdown, Rodriguez will once again be looking to show what she is capable of.

As for this weekend’s opponent, Sam Hughes (7-4) has started getting some wins under her belt after losing her first three fights in the UFC. Since her last defeat to Luana Pinheiro, Hughes has now won her last two. Sam is coming off of a third-round TKO victory over Elise Reed back in May of this year.

Even though Hughes will use her aggressive wrestling on, if Rodriguez can weather the early onslaught, we suspect her wrestling and grappling ability will come in handy as she will then look to control the fight and come away with the victory.
