Player West Ham almost signed is causing a Champions League shock
Hans Vanaken has been a key player for Club Brugge in the Champions League this season. West Ham United are interested in signing him. Club have won all three of their games in Champions league this term. They play Atletico Madrid next week. They will probably qualify for the last 16.
Vanaken could have played in Europa Conference League rather than Champions League this season. West Ham refused to match Club Brugge's £17m valuation for the 30-year-old.
West Ham are close to signing a player from the Champions League.
