Pletcher's Malathaat gets up in thrilling three-way photo-finish to Distaff

John Velazquez won the Distaff on Malathaat. It was his third win in the race. Todd Pletcher also won. The horse is trained by P Fletcher. The blinkers on the horse have made a difference. Nest faded. He was favourite. She is now in good form. Her trainer believes the blinker gave her an edge.

Cody's Wish won the Dirt Mile for trainer Bill Mott. Junior Alvarado rode him to victory. Cody's father Kelly Dorman thanks Godolphin for their support. Cody was born with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome. He is left to communicate using a tablet. It was a seventh victory for the son of Curlin and his second top-level success for Motti.

Elite Power won the Sprint at the 2022 Breeders' Cup. Irad Ortiz rode him for Irade Ortiz. Cody's Wish won Dirt Mile for trainer Mott.  

Goodnight Olive won her sixth race in a row in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint. She was always placed behind frontrunning Slammed but she was punched out to win for trainer Chad Brown.
