Swiss Skydiver won the 145th Preakness Stakes at Pimlico. She is the sixth filly to win the race. Authentic finished second, Jesus’ Team was third and G1 Blue Grass winner Art Collector was fourth. The 2020 Triple Crown was delayed by 15 weeks due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Kentucky Derby was moved from May 2 to September 1st and the Belmont Stake was rescheduled to June. All three races were run without fans in attendance. There was also a shortened Bel Mont (9 furlongs instead of 12).

Frankie Dettori plans to retire from the saddle at the end of 2023. He will officially bow out at Breeders“ Cup at Santa Anita in November. He won the Epsom Derby with Authorized in 2007 and Golden Horn in 2015. The final farewell as a professional rider will be in California at the BreedERS‚CUP.
