Premier League Relegation Odds: Saints & Leeds' Odds Shorten

The relegation battle saw more drama on Sunday afternoon as both Southampton and Leeds United lost. In light of their results, we’re taking a look at the latest Premier League relegation odds.

Southampton Slump To Defeat Once Again

Saints were defeated 3-1 by Newcastle at St James’ Park and remain rock bottom. Ruben Selles’ men did go 1-0 up just before half time as Stuart Armstrong scored against the run of play.

Callum Wilson then came off the bench to level the scores. Alexander Isak delivered a low cross into the Wilson who made no mistake from close range.

Wilson then thought he’d doubled his tally for the day but VAR ruled it out as the striker was deemed to be offside in the build-up. Then Theo Walcott scored an own-goal to put the hosts 2-1 up, and two minutes later Wilson did double his tally for the day as he cooly made it 3-1.

It was another big result for Newcastle with Champions League football almost certain for next season, meanwhile Saints know they’ll be needing some sort of a miracle to stay up now. You can see the latest Premier League relegation odds further down the page.

Leeds United Suffer Hammering From Bournemouth

Itt was more woes for Leeds as they fell to a 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth. A quick-fire Jefferson Lerma double had the Cherries 2-0 up after 24 minutes despite a decent start by Javi Garcia’s side.

Patrick Bamford levelled just after half and hour after heading home a Willy Gnonto cross.

As Leeds tried to crawl back into the game in the second half, things went from bad to worse. Dominic Solanke scored after skipping past a couple of defenders to lash the ball in.

The Cherries then made it 4-1 in second-half stoppage time to cap off another miserable day for Leeds. It was yet another mistake from Illan Meslier who made a mess of Antoine Semenyo’s low drive.

Bournemouth will almost certainly be playing Premier League football next season whilst Leeds’ relegation fears heightened after this result. You can see the latest Premier League relegation odds below.
