Preview: Scotland vs. Armenia

Scotland's UEFA Nations League campaign gets underway against Armenia. Scotland missed out on the World Cup. Armenia beat Republic of Ireland last week.

Scotland lost 3-1 to Ukraine at Hampden Park. They lost to Wales in Cardiff on Sunday. Steve Clarke's team is aiming for promotion to the second tier. Armenia are currently in League B Group 1. Joaquin Caparros' team lost 9-0 in Norway at the end of March. Their last competitive victory was against Republic of Ireland. They won 1- 0. It was their first competitive success since beating Iceland and Romania in World Cup qualifying in March 2021.

Lyndon Dykes will miss the match against Armenia due to injury. Ryan Christie or Stuart Armstrong will replace him. Nathan Patterson is in line to return to the substitutes' bench. Arman Hovhannisyan will be replaced by Stypopa Mkrtchyan in the Armenia back five.

Scotland could start with Gordon, McTominay, Cooper, Hanley, Hickey, McGregor, Gilmour, Robertson, McGinn, Christie and Adams.
