Norway vs. Scotland Odds, Predictions & Betting Tips

Scotland travel to Norway on Saturday (5pm) looking to extend their 100% winning start to three wins from three matches in Euro 2024 qualifying Group A.

Scotland stormed out of the blocks with a 3-0 win against Cyprus which they backed up with a stunning 2-0 defeat of Spain, thanks to a Scott McTominay brace.

The midfielder has now been tipped up by JimmyThePunt in his betting preview for Saturday's game against Erling Haaland and co.

Scotland will head to Ullevaal Stadion brimming with confidence as they look to extend their perfect start to Euro 2024 qualification.

Two games in and they sit top of the pile in Group A. Cyprus and Spain have both been dispatched, five goals scored, none conceded, and six points amassed.

It is a pretty good position to be in considering the Tartan Army are a quarter of the way into their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Steve Clarke should opt for the 3-4-3 he used back in March with Kieran Tierney the left side of a back three, Andy Robertson left wing-back, and John McGinn and Ryan Christie operating in behind Lyndon Dykes.

Norway are already playing catch up, a thumping in Spain was followed by points dropped in Georgia and this has left them in the mire.

It is fair to say Stale Solbakken has struggled to get a tune out of his squad that features big hitters Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard, both of which are expected to start this weekend.

Norway vs Scotland Tips

Scotland Double-Chance

Scotland are often a little more pragmatic away from home but must be fancying their chances in Oslo given their own form and that of their opposition.

Norway have not won a competitive match in over a year, losing three of their four games since they beat Spain last June.

They failed to qualify for the World Cup, despite boasting some impressive players, and their last clean sheet came against Slovenia 12 months ago.

At 4/5 with most bookmakers, siding with an away result certainly appeals on Saturday evening.

Scott McTominay Brace

Scott McTominay has played in a host of positions in a number of different formations for his nation, after his performances last international break he looks to have nailed down a fixed spot.

The Manchester United man hit the double via the bench in Cyprus, earning him the nod from the off at Hampden Park against Spain a few days later where he repeated the feat.

Including those games, over his last nine appearances for club and country he has scored five goals and averaged 2.80 shots per 90, impressive considering he has played four games over that period.

He is not a player that has built a reputation on his goalscoring exploits but siding with another brace has got to be worth a go given this form.
