Prince of Wales Stakes Predictions, Best Bets, Odds

Sir for Sure is the morning line favorite for the Prince of Wales Stakes at Fort Erie on Tuesday. Ironstone is second on the line at 8/5. Hunt Master and Duke of Love finished seventh and eighth respectively in the Queen’s Plate. The race is 1 3/16 miles long and takes place on dirt.

Sir for Sure finished third in the Queen's Plate. He is a favorite to win the Canadian Triple Crown. His breeding is by an Irish sire.

Ironstone is the son of Mr Speaker and has run in eight consecutive stakes races without a poor performance. He finished fourth in the Queen's Plate. Ironstone has a good workout on the new Woodbine dirt training track last week.

Duke of Love will make his first start on the dirt on Tuesday. He has run on both turf and the all-weather track at Woodbine previously. His Queen's Plate performance was disappointing, but he has had a nice workout on dirt ten days ago.

Fast Feet is the second from the powerful Casse barn. He was a debut winner last year and came back to finish second in the Cup and Saucer Stakes on the turf. Fast Feet has made only two starts this year, with an improved effort coming in his most recent one last month.

Hunt Master is the final of the four horses to come directly out of Queen's Plate. He is a son of Hunters Bay and has had some nice workouts over the Woodbine dirt training track.

Ice Road finished 11th against allowance horses last time out. He is a possibility to step up into the exotics, but I like others better in this $400,000 test.

Collaborative is a maiden and has not threatened against maidens at Woodbine in his last four tries. He has the pedigree to appreciate the surface change and he has been working well over the Fort Erie track.
