Quaker State 400 Picks and Predictions 2022

The Quaker State 400 is a wide-open race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Sportsbooks are marking it as anybody's race. Six drivers are tied for second at +1,200. The green flag is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET.

Chase Elliott has never won on his home track before. His teammate won back in the spring. Elliott's had three Top 10s in as many races on superspeedways this season.

Ryan Blaney was fourth in 2020, won this race in 2021 and fifth in the July race last year.

Ross Chastain is +1,000 at Quaker State 400. Kurt Busch won in this car last year. Chastsain finished second here in March and won at Talladega a month later.

Kurt Busch, Bubba Wallace or Denny Hamlin to win Quaker State 400 at Caesars has been boosted to +400 at the casino.

Kurt Busch is a former winner and a three-time winner here. Kurt Buscher was third in March and has seven Top-8 finishes in his last eight starts on the track.

Kevin Harvick is a favorite to win the Quaker State 400.

Michael McDowell won last year's Daytona 500. He has two Top-8 finishes in three superspeedway races this season.

Kyle Larson has never won a superspeedway race. Kyle Larson won the March race at Quaker State 400. Byron has just one Top 10 in his last 10 starts on the season.

Joey Logano is +1,200 at Quaker State 400. Logana has finished 23rd, 10th, 15th and 9th in his last 5 Atlanta starts. He was 21st at Daytona and 32nd at Talladega this season.

Joey Logano has two Top 5s in his last nine starts on the season and no Top Fives at Atlanta. Daniel Suarez was fourth here in March. Suarez has as many Top fives as Logana in the last three weeks.

Austin Cindric won the Daytona 500 and Ross Chastain won at Talladega this season. William Byron won here in March and is looking to repeat that success in the Quaker State 400. Team Penske was 9-17-32 this past spring and Joe Gibbs Racing is 0-for-25 in Atlanta. Trackhouse Racing (second, fourth in. March) and 23XI Racing came third and 13th.

The Fords have won all but two Atlanta races since 2017. Chevrolet is 2-for-3 on speedway tracks this season. Toyota hasn't won on this track in any of the last 10 tries.

The winner of Quaker State 400 has scored stage points in every stage except for 2019. William Byron won the first stage in March and was ninth in the second one. Last year the winner finished in Top 3 in each stage.
