Queen Elizabeth II Stakes 2021 Preview

Frankel, Minding and Roaring Lion are among famous Queen Elizabeth II Stakes winners since the race moved to its current slot in 2011. Three of the last seven QueenElizabeth II results saw the winner trained in France. The middle draw seems advantageous as the previous winners had at least four horses jumping out either inside or outside of them.

Palace Pier is favourite in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Ascot betting. John Gosden has four wins in this race as a trainer. Last year's third Palace Pier had excuses for his defeat. Baaeed is unbeaten in five starts and is trained by William Haggas for Shadwell Estates. He won a Leicester maiden on his racecourse debut and followed up with a Newmarket novice contest. Baaed won the Sir Henry Cecil Stakes at the July Festival and the Group 3 Thoroughbred Stake at Glorious Goodwood. Hagas took Baeed to France for the Prix du Moulin at Longchamp in September. Palace Pier is the second-placed finisher in the race.

Alcohol Free is 9/1 with 888Sport for Queen Elizabeth II Stakes success. She has three wins from six races for trainer Andrew Balding this season. Alcohol Free won the Cheveley Park as a juvenile and the Fred Darling at Newbury. The filly was fifth in the 1000 Guineas but won Coronation Stake at Royal Ascot.

Lady Bowthorpe is held on Newbury form by Palace Pier. Master Of The Seas has one win in his last five starts. Godolphin run Benbatl, who defeated their young pretender in the Group 2 Joel Stakes last month. No horse older than five has won the Queen Elizabeth II Stake in 50 years.
