The highest rated race is the 2.55 Wincanton, a 12-runner, Class 3, 3yo+ handicap hurdle (just 8 flights) over a right-handed 1m7f on good to soft ground. The racecard is packed with info such as the fact that two of the runners won LTO, top weight Filey Bay and hat-trick seeking Shallow River. Trolley Boy and Shallows are making their handicaps debut. File yy Boy is having just a second attempt after a win five days ago. Most of his rivals have been in action recently, except Midnight Ginger and shallow river.
Filey Bay is the overnight favourite. Shallow River is also a good bet, but he's too short for me as an E/W pick. Trolley Boy and Sergeant are on the extremes of the pace chart. Sergeant has 4 wins and 5 runner-up finishes from 13 handicap hurdle contests. Bet 365 (4 places) is a nice bet for him. He's around the 11/1 mark. The horse won on his debut at Worcester in July. It's possible to get a decent priced E-wap or place only punt.
