The owners are responsible for the development of sport. The current structure between the BHA, racecourses and participants is ludicrous. Owners need to take action. They need a governing body that makes decisions for long-term interests of all involved. It's time for drastic action from the owners. There is a shortage of trainers. This is one of their biggest threats. Due to the drop in field sizes, the focus has gone from staffing crisis in the industry.
