Rangers manager odds: Steven Gerrard early favourite as other big names enter frame

Steven Gerrard is favourite to become the next Rangers manager. Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sacked after a poor run of results saw the Ibrox side slip nine points behind Celtic in the title race and crash out of Europe with the worst Champions League group stage record in history.

Steven Gerrard is the early favourite to become the next Rangers manager. He was sacked by Aston Villa and is without his right-hand man Michael Beale.

Michael Beale was on Gerrard's coaching staff at Ibrox. Beales followed Gerrard to Aston Villa and QPR. He turned down the chance to manage Wolves.

Kevin Muscat is the favourite to become the next Rangers manager. Ange Postecoglou is also in the running.
