Raptors vs. Kings prediction and odds for Wednesday, January 24 (Kings stay hot)

The 2022-23 season has been about as disappointing as it could be for the Toronto Raptors, who are the No. 12 seed in the East and six games under .500 heading into Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings, on the other hand, are performing way above expectations, sitting in the No. 3 spot in the West and winning seven of their last 10 games.

Toronto has struggled mightily on the road this season, going just 6-15 straight up, but it is expected to get forward OG Anunoby back in the lineup for this game.

Sacramento is sixth in the NBA in net rating, but it’s just 9-9-1 against the spread as a home favorite in the 2022-23 season.

How should we bet on this game?

Here’s a look at the latest odds and my favorite play for this matchup:

Raptors vs. Kings prediction and pick

The Raptors have done a good job covering the spread as road dogs, but this line is too short for me to back them tonight.

Sacramento has been playing great over its last 10 games, ranking first in the NBA in net rating and covering the spread in six of its last eight games.

De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis are quickly becoming an elite duo, and the Kings have dominated with a high-powered offensive attack all season long.

I think the Kings keep up their solid play, especially with the Raptors’ struggles on the road.

The Raps have failed to cover in three of their last four road games, with their only cover coming against a bad home team in the New York Knicks.

This is Kings or bust for me.
