Red Sox prospect Ceddanne Rafaela heads to Puerto Rico to put finishing touches on breakout season

Ceddanne Rafaela is playing for Caguas in Puerto Rico this winter. He will play center field for Vázquez and Flores. The Red Sox used to do the same thing with Jarren Duran. He is a center fielder with good speed and a good bat. His wife is from Puerto Rican. A year from now, another player to whom Rafaeli has drawn comparisons will be a free agent. That player is Kiké Hernández. Rafael's centerfield job at Fenway Park could be wide open. It's possible he will get added to the 40-man roster this offseason to protect him from the Rule 5 draft.
