Red Sox, Rafael Devers reportedly 'galaxies apart' in contract negotiations

Red Sox and Rafael Devers are in contract negotiations. Deavers' contract expires after the 2023 season. He is a two-time All-Star and a key player for the Red Sox. Last year, Deverbs' agent failed to reach an agreement with the team and he became a free agent. Chaim Bloom hopes Deever will be able to keep his contract.

Rafael Devers is one of only five players in Red Sox history to record multiple seasons of at least 25 home runs and 40 doubles.
