Reds pip Waratahs in Super Rugby thriller
Reds beat Waratahs 20-16 in a Super Rugby Pacific derby in Sydney. Ryan Smith scored a controversial try 11 minutes from time. The Reds won despite losing Taniela Tupou, Tate McDermott and halfback Jake Gordon. Warats won the first game of the season. The Waratts beat Fijian Drua 40-10 in the last week's competition opener. They were unbeaten in their first two matches. Queensland's win ends their bright start under Darren Coleman. It's the third time the Warattahs have lost in this competition.
