Regulator 'Confident' Mobile MD Sports Betting Launches In 2022

Regulator John Martin is confident that mobile MD sports betting will launch this year. He gave his most positive statement yet about online Maryland sports gambling at VIXIO’s Meet the Regulators webinar on Tuesday.

There are up to 40 standalone retail sports betting licenses available in Ohio. Some small businesses have been brought into the regulatory process.

The application process for sports betting in Massachusetts is not yet open. The experienced operators have kept pace with the CCC and been easy to deal with. Some of the smaller businesses have questions about the application and the paperwork. Massachusetts Gaming Commission Chair Cathy Judd-Stein laughed and said it sounds like all three regulators have dealt with similar issues.
