Ricky Yiu business as usual after 900th winner: ‘1,000 would mean something’

Danny Shum Chap-shing's horse Victor The Winner won at Sha Tin on Sunday. The horse's owner Chu Yun-lau was in mainland China. Shom was able to complete a double thanks to the victory of Ka Ying Spirit and the third place of Packing Victory. He was the inaugural winner of the Trainer Challenge. The new offering cost HK$3.8 million. It was less than the HK $7.2 million bet on the Jockey Challenge but Jockeying Club executives hope it will become more popular.
