Roaring Lion claims victory at Irish Champion Stakes

Roaring Lion won the Irish Champion Stakes by a neck. It was the sixth meeting between the two horses. Saxon Warrior is retiring after damaging his tendon in the race. Next month, the world’s richest race on turf takes place at the Prix de l”Arc de Triomph. British and Irish-trained horses have dominated previous years.  John Gosden won it in 2017 with Enable and in 2015 with Golden Horn. Aiden O‘Brien's trainer, O'Brien, won Found in 2016.
