Rockies Arizona Fall League overview 2022

Zac Veen is the Rockies' top prospect. He played in the Eastern League last season. Ven is now playing in Arizona Fall League. He's off to a 6-for-12 start with a homer, a double and four RBIs. The 20-year-old is also a fast runner. His stolen bases total increased from 55 to 36 in his first full season to 55 in 64 attempts this year. It's clear Venn wants to be more than a one-trick pony. he wants his game to become more diverse. and not just a power hitter. for the future. For the moment, he's focusing on his speed.

Bernabel is one of the youngest players in the AFL this year. He played in two levels of A ball last season, hitting .313/.370/.499 with 14 homers and 23 steals. Bernabel will play with Salt River this season.

Grant Lavigne was taken out of the New Hampshire high school ranks in 2018. Lavigna reached Double-A this year.

Braxton Fulford was drafted by the Rockies in the sixth round of the 2021 Draft. He played his first full season with Single-A Fresno last year, hitting 15 home runs and stealing 13 bases.

Blair Calvo, a 23-year-old right-handed pitcher, was signed by the Rockies in the 23rd round of the 2019 Draft. He spent 2022 in Double-A and struck out 12.1 per nine in 35 innings.

Noah Davis was supposed to go to the AFL, but he got called up and Fineas Del Bonta-Smith was promoted. Del Smith was a 22nd-round pick in 2019 out of San Jose State. He spent most of the 2022 season in Double-A and struck out a combined 10.3 per nine.

Stephen Jones was drafted by the Rockies in the 21st round in 2019. He was Samford's closer in his Draft year. Jones picked up eight saves with Double-A Hartford this season.

Peter Lambert had Tommy John surgery in July 2020. He played in the big leagues in 2019 and in 2021, but elbow issues limited him to just 8 2/3 Triple-A innings this year. Lambert is trying to get some innings in Arizona Fall League this fall with an eye on returning to Coors Field in 2023.
