Rockies calling up Ezequiel Tovar as shortstop of the future

Ezequiel Tovar is called up by the Colorado Rockies. He will be the youngest position player to play for the franchise in 30 years. Tova was injured for two months and was promoted to Triple-A Albuquerque last week. Alan Trejo took over at shortstop for José Iglesias. Igleias will become a free agent at the end of the season. Tre joe may spend some time learning the outfield next spring. The team needs to find a replacement for Iglias at short. Jake Bird, Chad Smith, Gavin Hollowell and Noah Davis are the pitchers who should be important part of Colorado's future.
