Rugby: KRU Urges for more sponsorship as Betsafe chips in
Kenya Rugby Union,KRU, has lauded recent partnership between the association and betting firm Betsafe in an arrangement that will see Bbetse contribute Ksh.5.9 million to the national rugby sevens circuit. The circuit began last weekend with the Kabeberi Sevens that saw KCB clinch the title after seeing off Strathmore Leos 12-10 in a nail biting final. Second leg of the six-leg series is scheduled for this weekend at RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi. Peris Mukoko, KRU director, underscored the value of sponsorships to circuit and urged other sponsors to join the cause.
KRU is set to receive Ksh.1 million to manage and organize the rugby circuit. The winners of each individual tournament will walk away with KSh.100,000.
