Sapphire Coast preview: All in for the Merimbula Cup

She's All In is a contender for the Merimbula Cup at the Sapphire Coast. She's trained by Barbara Joseph, Paul Jones and Matt Jones. The horse is trained with Teaghan Martin. Sir Finn is the son of Ferlax and won the 2013 VRC Australian Guineas. He will be hoping to win the Joseph/Jones Racing Handicap at Sapphire coast. The form is complete NSW Racing thoroughbred form.

Smart ‘N’ Ritzy is a debutant at the Sapphire Coast on Thursday. She was bought for $16,000 at Inglis Classic Yearling Sale in 2020. Smart Missile was trained by Quayde Krogh. The filly won her trial on February 20. She drew wide in her 900m Queanbeyan heat but was fleet-footed enough to cross the field and lead and cruise to the line.

Zarafah finished last for the first time in her 28 starts. She was taken to Randwick for an 1800m TAB Highway. Her last performance ended a sequence of three consecutive seconds. Emma Longmire is confident she can bounce back.

Zarafah's last start was a flop. She is by the Melbourne Cup winner Americain and bred by Hampton Rover. Her ninth dam is Entreaty, the mother of Phar Lap. Emma Longmire hopes to get her up to a mile and a half or further. Next runs could be Adrian Ledger at Albury on Cup day (March 25) or Iron Horse at Wellington.
