Saturday ITV Racing Tips: Best bets for Lingfield and Chelmsford

The weather has wiped out most of Saturday's racing. ITV will broadcast live on December 17th. Lingfield Park will hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30 am. Chelmsford will also be subject to a check at 8. 30 am, but the track is raceable. Fairyhouse has been abandoned following an inspection. Planet Sport tipsters have a selection for each of the eight live races.

Mick's Spirit is a three-time course winner. Yimou was runner-up over course and distance last time out at Chelmsford. Bethersden Boy is also of interest.

Lingfield's Lothian is 10lb below his last winning mark. Admirable Lad is respected but needs a personal best to be considered a contender. Dazzerling may be a stronger player on this occasion.

Gary Moore sent out the winner of the 2019 renewal of this race. Capricorn Prince is a four-time course winner. Ummsuquaim won well over C&D 17 days ago.

Roger Varian has a good strike-rate and runs Lord Paramount in the Betsi Handicap at Chelmsford. Lord Parrion started just over a year ago when fourth on debut at Newcastle and was a beaten odds-on favourite when second three weeks later.

Sweet Fantasy can follow up her win at Southwell with another success in the talkSPORT Winter Oaks Trial Irish EBF Fillies' Handicap at Lingfield. Ralph Beckett's three-year-old won for the first time last time out.

William Buick's horse Harrovian is the favourite for the BetUK Quebec Stakes at Lingfield. Robert Havlin's on Forest of Dean. The last time the two horses met, Algiers was three lengths behind Harrovan. Harrivan is rated 3lb lower than Alger's. It's the first time Buck has ridden Harrvin since July 1.
