The high-flying Koln are back in action this weekend in the Bundesliga as they head to the VELTINS Arena to meet with strugglers Schalke after yet another defeat a the club only promoted this past season.

After a year down in 2. Bundesliga, it looked like all sunshine and rainbows for Schalke when they came back into the top tier. Now, however, they are still bottom of the table with barely a hope out there in terms of surviving.

The club were battered from pillar to post at home last weekend by RB Leipzig, as Soichiro Kozuki scored a goal for Schalke in a 6-1 hammering. It now means they sit seven points from safety in the league.

Schalke were also beaten 3-0 by Eintracht Frankfurt on their returning Bundesliga game, and the club have now lost the most games in in the Bundesliga with 12 and conceded the most goals with 41.

Koln come into this one after a tough pill to swallow. They led for much of the game away to the champions Bayern Munich, but a stunning goal in the dying embers from Joshua Kimmich forced a draw.

Koln also smashed Werder Bremen 7-1 on their returning game, and this was their biggest Bundesliga win in many, many years.
