Schedule Analysis: Tar Heels’ Top Billing to be Tested
The 20-game ACC basketball schedule was set by the league on Tuesday. North Carolina is expected to be the favorite to win the conference in 2022-23 season. The team returns four starters from last season's team that won the NCAA championship game. UNC begins ACC play in December at Virginia Tech and against Georgia Tech. It will play at Pittsburgh on either December 30 or 31. UNC will have faced three Big Ten opponents in various venues and under different backdrops by 2022. They play a neutral-site game against Ohio State at Madison Square Garden in the CBS Sports Classic.
