Seattle Kraken at San Jose Sharks Preview: Meeting the new guys

The NHL is back with 13 games. Seattle Kraken and San Jose Sharks are playing each other tonight at SAP Center. The Kraken's inaugural season has been disappointing. They are last in the Pacific Division with a 9-15-3 record. San Francisco is coming off of a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars. They hope to move into the top three in their division with the win. Jaden Schwartz is the team's top scorer with 19 points. Kraken have five players over 15 points this season. Their goalkeeping coach Philipp Grubauer is expected to start in net.

Jayden Halbgewachs was recalled from the San Jose Barracuda yesterday morning. Kevin Labanc will be out for 1-2 weeks. Halbewchs has 16 points in 19 games for the Baracuda this season.

Karlsson is currently on a four-game point streak and is aiming to extend it to five. Karlsson's currently ranked 14th in scoring among all NHL defenders.

James Reimer has been the best Sharks goalie since he signed a new contract in 2015-16. Reiner has won his last three starts and has a .969 save percentage. Seattle Kraken has some good players, but their power play is inconsistent.
