Self Assured sublime in NZ Pacing FFA

Mark Purdon and Self Assured won the New Zealand Pacing Free For All. Mark Pardon's drive was the best of the week. The winning time of 2:21.9 was slowest NZ FFA since the distance was moved back to the 1980m marker. The last mile was run in a sizzling 1:55.3. It was almost a full five seconds slower than the previous year. There were fireworks early as the Open Class pacers jostled for early position. Alta Wiseguy and Tim Williams held the lead. Heza Sport (Sportswriter) and Spankem (Bettor’s Delight) were second and third. Majestic Cruiser and Rock N Roll Doo came from behind.

Mark Purdon won the NZ Pacing FFA. He was hoping to be on the back of Old Town Road or Majestic Cruiser.

Sundees Son won the race on Tuesday. Tony was disappointed on that day. Today he has come out on top.

Self Assured won the Nevele R Fillies Final with True Fantasy (Bettor’s Delight) on Tuesday.
