Shortest-priced loser over jumps since 1909 as 1-20 shot turned over at Ludlow

Tree Of Liberty was beaten at odds of 1-20 at Ludlow. He is the shortest-priced loser in British jump racing history. The only other 1/20 loser was Jerry M over fences at Newbury in 1909. Four odds-on chances were beaten in the space of 30 minutes in Britain and Ireland on Thursday. Karalee was knocked out at Cork, Global Academy at Wolverhampton and Kupatana at Chepstow. Tree Of Libery's trainer Jamie Moore was banned at the Che pstrow for 14 days for riding Kings Monarch, also trained by Lee, into fourth place.

Tree Of Liberty was beaten by a better horse at Ludlow. Arrogate was also beaten at 1-20 in a Grade 2 at Del Mar. Cap'N was sent off at 20-1. Over To Midnight died in the race.  Claire Dyson's horse jumped superbly. She preferred to run in small field for her first chase. The veterinary officer reported Tree Of Libery had bled from the nose.
