FIU is playing in the final Shula Bowl rivalry game until 2024. North Texas beat FIU 52-14 in their last game. FIu is looking to end a five-year losing streak against Florida Atlantic. The Panthers will be boosted by the return of LB/DE Shaun Peterson Jr. who is among the league leaders in sacks (5.5). FAU's offensive line is talented and the defensive line has subbed more linemen than anybody else this year. FIUP's secondary will have to cover FAu's wide receivers. FAA is leaving C-USA for the American Football Association at the end of the season.

Florida Atlantic and Carolina are playing in the Shula Bowl on Saturday. FAU has a better record than Carolina. Willie Taggart's team has been inconsistent this season. The team's offense is similar to that of Gus Malzahn and Brent Dearmon. Larry McCammon and Zuberi Mobley have been playing well for FAu. Evan Anderson is one of the top defensive tackles in C-USA. Eddie Williams is out for the rest of this year. Teja Young is a good safety. He has two pick-sixes on the season and is noticeable to opposing teams.

FIU is playing in a rivalry game against Florida Atlantic. The Panthers lost to Western Kentucky earlier in the season and North Texas. Florida's defensive line is a problem for FIU's rushing attack. FAU has a good chance of winning if it plays the version of its offense that was able to score at ease against Charlotte and have first-half success against Ohio.
