Sixers vs. Jazz prediction and odds for NBA Summer League

Both the Sixers and Jazz lost opening games in 2023 Summer League, but somebody will grab a win on Wednesday in a final tune up before the Las Vegas Summer League.

The host team Utah Jazz will look to get on the board in Summer League after losing to a loaded Thunder team in the opening game. Utah matches up with the Philadelphia 76ers, who also lost in the opener, ocming up short by two to the Grizzlies.

Both teams have score-first rookies leading the way in Keyonte George for the Jazz and Terquavion Smith for the Sixers, how will they impact the game on Wednesday?

Both teams played in high scoring games in the repsective openers, and I'm backing the over in this one as well.

Both George and Smith dazzled in the opening games, and they will be the engine behind this high scoring game. The Baylor rookie had a team high 18 points for the Jazz, but the team as a whole shot only 26% from beyond the arc. However, I believe that'll come back around and the Jazz will be able to be more efficient on the offensive end. For what it's worth, the team posted 38/26/57 shooting splits and scored 85 points.

Meanwhile, the Sixers were a bit more potent on offense, scoring 92 points in a two-point loss, and Smith was a big reason why. The microwave scorer from North Carolina State posted 18 points as well while hitting four of his 10 three-point tries.

Similar to the Jazz, the Sixers as a whole didn't have an efficient scoring game and still posted a high point total. The team shot 42% from the field, 30% from beyond the arc and 64% from the free throw line, but I expect some natural variance to even out the shot making heading into the second game.

Both offenses scored, even if not so efficiently. With some better luck, each team should shoot closer to expectation and this game should fly over the total.

PICK: OVER 176
