South Africa are now the favourites to be crowned Rugby World Cup champions for a fourth time after an enthralling quarter-final weekend

South Africa are the new favourites with Sky Bet to win the Rugby World Cup after a thrilling weekend of quarter-finals in France.

The Springboks showed why they're defending champions as they edged out hosts France 29-28 in a pulsating clash in Paris.

Elsewhere Argentina came from behind to defeat Wales, England managed to hold off a fast-finishing Fiji and New Zealand upset world No 1 Ireland.

That has thrown this year's tournament on its head somewhat, as the final four will be made up of three teams from the southern hemisphere for the third time in the competition's history.

The results has also meant the outright betting market has changed drastically, with Ireland and France entering the quarter-final fixtures as the joint favourites.

Sky Bet odds to win the 2023 Rugby World Cup:

South Africa 10/11

New Zealand 6/5
