South Dakota State wins first-ever FCS title, and it could be just the start

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits beat North Dakota St. Dakota 45-21 in the FCS championship game in Frisco. It was the first time the Jacks have won the championship. The team won every statistical category except the turnover battle. The Jack rams outrushed the Bison 283-160. They won time of possession 32 minutes to 28 for the NDSU. Amar Johnson led the team with 126 yards on nine carries. Isaiah Davis was their leading rusher with 103 yards and a touchdown. He also had a conversion on third down. Sam Houston lost the previous championship to the Bearkats 23- 21 in 2011.
