Southampton considered 43-year-old before he took over at Prem rival
Ralph Hasenhuttl was sacked as Southampton manager after a 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday. Roberto de Zerbi was considered before he took over at Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion. Nathan Jones is expected to replace Hasenutttl.
Nathan Jones is being considered as a replacement for Ralph Hasenhuttl at Southampton. Luton confirm that he has been given permission to speak to the club. Steve Cooper, Thomas Frank and Bruno Lage were also considered. Brighton have won two in a row. Gerardo Seoane was also under consideration. Marcelo Gallardo is another. Lutts are currently eighth in the Championship table.
