SPFL boss left speechless over bizarre Celtic transfer theory as punter demands Kyogo to be SOLD

Kyogo Furuhashi is a fan favourite amongst the Hoops support.

But one SPFL manager was shocked to hear that there's some Celtic fans who want him OUT of the club.

The Japanese striker has struggled to hit the same numbers this season following his previous two impressive campaigns for Celtic.

He hasn't looked his best under Brendan Rodgers and has only netted eight goals in the Premiership, despite scoring 23 in the league last season.

Kyogo has 10 in total for the season and has been left out of Hajime Moriyasu's Japan squad for the Asian Cup this month due to his recent form.

But despite his lack of numbers in front of goal, majority of Celtic fans will stand by the fact he's still a key player for the team.

But one supporter from Balfron named Kenny has stunningly called on Rodgers to sell the striker at the end of the season.

He rang up Clyde 1 Superscoreboard to reveal that he has had enough and wants Kyogo to leave the club for as little as £7million in the summer.

He claimed: "I think that Kyogo should go out in the summer. Definitely. I think there's better players in the market, and we can get at least £7m for Kyogo at this point.

"£7m is the lowest I would demand. There's definitely better on the market that we can get in. Kyogo scores high quality goals but we need high numbers and he's not been hitting the numbers he has in previous seasons."

The caller pointed to Rangers' links with Michy Batshuayi as his reasoning for letting Kyogo go.

SunSport exclusively revealed that the Belgian striker was on Philippe Clement's radar before we confirmed the Gers are ready to walk away from a deal.

But the punter believes his own club should be chasing a player with a similar reputation due to the fact he claims Celtic are a "bigger club" than the Light Blues.

He added: "I think Celtic are definitely a bigger club than Rangers at this point. I've heard Rangers might bring in Batshuayi. If they're getting that attraction, we can definitely get better than that."

The comments left Queen of the South manager Marvin Bartley lost for words as he responded: "That's shocked me. I'm nearly speechless for the first time in my life," he said, before laughing: "Kyogo for Batshuayi? No chance, that just can't happen."
