Spring Racing Carnival 2022: Ciaron Maher, David Eustace finally add Melbourne Cup to incredible record

Ciaron Maher and David Eustace have won the Melbourne Cup. It's their 20th group 1 win at group one level. They are closing in on $100 million in prizemoney. Eusace's former housemates, Ed Crisford and James Ferguson, had two horses in the race. They lived together in Newmarket. The three of them had horses training in Melbourne. Deauville Legend and Without A Fight were trained by Ed and had runners in this year's race as well. He is grateful to be training with Ciaron. His former neighbours lived in a few doors down.
