Spurs vs. Clippers prediction: NBA odds, picks, best bets

There’s plenty of hype surrounding top pick Victor Wembanyama as he looks to turn around the Spurs franchise.

Following a close home loss to the Mavericks in the season opener, the Spurs bounced back with a come-from-behind, overtime triumph over the Rockets on Friday to improve to 1-1.

Wembanyama posted a double-double in the 126-122 victory over Houston by scoring 21 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.

However, the 19-year-old failed to hit a 3-pointer in six attempts after knocking down three shots from downtown against Dallas.

San Antonio travels to Los Angeles on Sunday night to face the Clippers, who play their home opener after splitting a pair of road games at Portland and Utah.

The Clippers pretty much played from behind throughout Friday’s 120-118 loss to the Jazz as 4.5-point favorites, even though they made it interesting late.

Kawhi Leonard faces his former team in this matchup, as the ex-Spurs standout is averaging 24.0 ppg in his first two games of the season for the Clippers.

Los Angeles swept San Antonio last season in their four regular-season matchups, including a pair of double-digit victories at Crypto.com Arena.

Betting on the NBA?

The Clippers are riding a 10-1 Over run in their past 11 regular-season games dating back to March, including five straight Overs at home.

Both teams have gone 2-0 to the Over in their first two games of the season, and there’s no reason to think the scoring will stop Sunday night.
